How often should I mow my lawn?

Your lawn should be mowed often enough so that not more than 1/3 of the leaf blade is removed with each mowing. If too much leaf area is removed at one time, the cut leaf surface becomes burned by the sun or scalded. Recovery can be slow, particularly in areas prone to traffic or insect pressure.
